Children's Author Series: Trudi Trueit

Meet Author Trudi Trueit!

Nebulas Secret coverAuthor Trudi Tueit will talk about her newest book Explorer Academy: The Nebula Secret, an exciting, action-packed adventure that takes 12-year old Cruz Coronado and his fellow explorers around the globe, following clues and cracking codes to unlock a mystery that could change their world, and ours, forever. It is the first book in National Geographic's children's fiction series.

Trudi has written over 100 books and many of them reflect her background and strong interest in science. In fact it was Trudi's early career as a weather forecaster that inspired her to write her first book. The Nebula Secret is based on real-life technology, people, and places with lots of science facts, hidden puzzles and codes embedded throughout the book.  Find out how to crack the code at this exciting program. Perfect for kids 8 years and up.

Plus . . .

Trudi Trueit is bringing a special guest: Zoltan Takacs, Nat Geo explorer, snake wrangler, herpetologist and toxinologist!

Zoltan Takacs has been chasing venomous snakes in the world's most remote locations since he was a teenager. He's traveled to 133 countries and survived seven snakebites. But Takacs doesn't go after these deadly creatures just for the thrill; he collects venom and brings it back to a lab, where he and his colleagues analyze it with the goal of treating diseases.
