Computers and Wi-Fi

Anyone with a Newport Beach library card can use our computers.

The library's wireless access software was made available by a generous donation from the Library Foundation of Newport Beach.

The network name is Newport Beach Public Library

Library desktops and laptops offer the following features:

Sessions: 1 hour + 20 minute extensions until a waitlist forms
Patrons log-in with the library card number and password
Windows 10 and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
USB ports and External DVD/CDRW drives (available for checkout) for saving work
Printing: $0.15/page black & white and $0.45/page color
A waitlist feature when all computers are in use. Patrons may enter their cell phone number at the queue station to receive a text when their computer is available
Patrons may lock their computer for 15 minutes
Computers lock after 10 minutes of inactivity
Microfilm/microfiche reading/printing/saving
