Storytellers Writing Workshop (3 part series) Adult Class  Friends Room, Central Library

Best-selling author Chris Epting will help you learn how to draw out, recount, organize and document your life’s stories. This 3-part workshop series will provide guidance in developing stories in first person narrative. By learning how to effectively craft thoughts and ideas, you can develop storytelling skills and learn to cultivate your voice for memoir, social media and more. This class includes lecture, writing assignments, sharing. Registration is required.

January Session – Registration is for all 3 classes in the session. You are expected to attend all 3.

Class 1: Tuesday, January 7 5:00-7:00

Class 2: Tuesday, January 14 5:00-7:00

March Session – Registration is for all 3 classes in the session. You are expected to attend all 3.

May Session – Registration is for all 3 classes in the session. You are expected to attend all 3.

 *Please note: due to the high demand for this workshop, priority is given to patrons who have not yet participated in the Storytellers series. If you have already attended this workshop in the past, your registration will be moved to waitlist status. 

Writers Group 

This is an interactive writing group where writers will roll up their sleeves and get to work -- sharing current writing projects, receiving feedback, and holding each other accountable during the writing process. Bring your current writing project and be prepared to share, listen, and work.

There are 2 sessions per month, (Sept-May) with the exception of Sept which only has 1. There are no sessions in December. 
Writers Group is led by noted author and writing instructor, Chris Epting. 
*Participation in the Storytellers Writing Series prior to attending the Writers Workshop is highly recommended*

Registration is for a single session and is required to attend. You must register separately for each date you'd like to attend. Please only register if you plan to attend. Workshop is limited to 10 writers.

Registration for each session will open at noon one week before the class date. Registration link is on each calendar date on the library's website calendar and will also become available below (one week prior to the session date). 

*Registration is for one writer only. You may not register for multiple writers.
