SCORE Workshop

An EZ Trip Through Your Financial Statements

Want to know where financial statements come from and how to make them work for you? This workshop teaches basic accounting principles using an interactive case study. You’ll learn how The Widget Company uses its first quarter in business’ transactions to build a Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow!

What You Will Learn: 
• The differences between a Balance Sheet, an Income Statement and a Statement of Cash Flow
• Where they come from
• How financial people will read yours!
• How credit and debt affect financial statements
• Pricing for profit


Bonnie Copeland, SCORE mentor, presents this workshop. Bonnie started and managed her own ski, arts-and-crafts and consulting businesses, worked for companies like Shell Oil and Disney, and helped hundreds of entrepreneurs with her common sense approach to business start-up and expansion. Although Bonnie has expertise in all aspects of small business operation, her emphasis is on planning, accounting and finance.
