Building a strong foundation for academic success with ABCmouse Digital Learning
We’re excited to announce that the award-winning ABCmouse Curriculum is now available for use at home with your Newport Beach Public Library card.
ABCmouse is the #1 Learning App for children ages 2–8, with more than 10,000 learning activities across all major subject areas: reading, math, science, social studies, art, and music.
ABCmouse also features learning assessments and rewards, to measure your child’s progress and encourage learning.
How to access ABCmouse at home:
When accessing ABCmouse from home, use your Newport Beach Public Library card and PIN to check out a free home use account for a 4-week checkout period.
Once your checkout period ends, you can check out ABCmouse for an additional 4 weeks depending on availability. Your child’s profile and progress will be saved on your ABCmouse account until your next check out period.
If no account is available, you will receive an email confirmation and will be directed to the Waiting List Page. As accounts become available, you will receive an email notification and will then have five days to redeem the account for checkout.
- Each of the academic lessons of the step-by-step learning path are tailored to specific ages and intended for children to learn important educational basics using a computer mouse, with animated videos, art activities, puzzles, educational games, and more!
- Between checkouts your child’s profile and progress are saved so you can pick up where you left off every time. The Progress Tracker shows progress both by academic level and by curriculum subject.
- ABCmouse has a growing set of mobile apps that, once downloaded, do not require Internet connectivity. ABCmouse is accessible on computers, tablets and smartphones.
- Each parent/caregiver account can be shared by up to 3 children in a household, each with their own avatar, profile, and progress-tracking on the ABCmouse Step-by-Step Learning Path.
