Formerly known as Lynda.com, LinkedIn Learning offers free online courses on a number of topics. Download the app on Google Play or in the App Store and use "newportbeachpubliclibrary" as the Library ID when prompted. 

Adobe Creative Cloud
Do you need help with an Adobe Creative Cloud product like Photoshop or Lightroom? Adobe offers support, tutorials and help whether you are learning a design program for the first time or adding to your existing skillset.

VHS Digital Converters
How can the library help you convert your VHS tapes to a digital file? You may ask staff for assistance and refer to the VHS2DVD 3 Manual. VHS Converters are available on PC 7 and PC 8. 

High Quality Scanning
Epson Scan 2 software is available at our Media Lab Mac Photo Scanner. Epson offers a great help sheet to help you get started. 

The folder where your scan will save pops-up after scanning. Patrons may save scans to a personal USB drive, email or upload them to a cloud service like Google Drive, iCloud, or Dropbox.

Accessories for scanning slides, bent photographs and negatives are in a kit at the scanning station. To scan a slide, the white panel attached to the lid may carefully be removed.

Library Catalog
The Newport Beach Public Library has books on many subjects that aid our Media Lab patrons. Use a simple keyword search in our catalog like “Photoshop,” “creativity,” or “web design” to find books. Can’t find what you’re looking for? Ask a librarian or staff to help you.
