BARK! at Balboa

Kids Read to Dogs

  • Introduction: Share a book with a specially-trained therapy dog from “Beach Animals Reading with Kids” (BARK). Enjoy a book..and cuddle with a dog at the same time!

Practice your reading by sharing a book with a therapy dog from “Beach Animals Reading with Kids” (BARK).  Ten-minute reading slots are on a first-come, first-served basis and participation is limited by dog team availability.

Designed for school-age children. Beginning-to-readers are welcome, too. Ages 4 and up.
