What did you like or not like about the cover? Did the cover reflect the contents?
The cover of the book was pretty simple on itself but on the front of the book there was
Celaena(Aelin) in her human form and in the back she was there as well but in her fae form which
she got to master the shifting of in the book. So even though there isn't much on the cover I think it
reflects the contents in a certain way. And that you only realize that after you have read the book. So
I will say that I liked the cover quite a lot.
Your review / Summary of the book that will make other teens want to read it.
I really liked the book not only because it was a fantasy and adventure book but also because there
was a really good background story on the main character and the book was all about herself
improvement. In the first books we always saw Celaena as a very confident and invincible assassin.
But in this book we got to see a part of her that we never seen before. We got to see the side of her
that was vulnerable and defeated. But even though that was how she felt throughout the book by the
end of it she had become determined as she never was before. She had learnt who she was and
what she was meant to do and she was determined to fight for it.
Describe the most compelling aspect of the book.
I feel like one of the most compelling parts of the book is that it's all about Celaena(Aelin) finding
who she truly is and not what other people see her as. And accepting that part of her. Ever since she
was born she was never taught who she was meant to be and who she was as a person or in this
case a fae. Since her family died when she was young there was no one to teach her anything she
needed to know as the future queen of Terrasen. Which is why this is in my opinion the most
compelling part of the book since the book is all about how the character will grow and change.
Were you disappointed with the book for any reason? If so, what was disappointing?
There wasn't anything majorly disappointing. The book was really good. The only thing I find a little
disappointing is that the chapters were really short and that we didn't have time to really get into the
characters and also the chapters were mostly always switching. When you finished reading one
chapter the next one was about someone different so sometimes it got confusing. But other than that
this book was really good.
Did you finish the book?
Yes, I finished the book.
Ever since I started reading it I couldn't stop thinking about what was going to happen next and all I
wanted to do was go back to reading it. In times like this even if the book has hundreds of pages it
would still feel really short and you can't wait to get the next one.
How would you rate this book?
I would rate this book a 5. It's hard to imagine a better book even if I say this about a lot of books
that I read, this series and especially this book was amazing. Everything about it was great and I
would definitely recommend it if you like fantasy and adventure.
