Mariners and Balboa are open for curbside services Monday - Saturday, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Corona del Mar is open for curbside services Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. All programs and storytimes are currently cancelled until further notice.

Spooktacular Virtual Costume Parade!

Give us a fright and show off your costumes in our 2020 Spooktacular Virtual Costume Parade! Simply dress up, send us your spookiest photo, and check back in a couple days to see your costume added to our Virtual Parade and on our Instagram account. Be sure to give your favorite costumes a like on Instagram, too!

Where do I send my child’s photos?

Email all photos to juvref@newportbeachca.gov no later than Saturday, October 31st, 2020. 

• Submitted photos must be suitable for all audiences
• Accepted file types: JPG, JPEG, GIF, PNG
• Submission does not guarantee your photo will appear on the website. All photos will be reviewed by an NBPL staff member
• Submitting your photo grants the Newport Beach Public Library the right to publish your photo on our website and social media outlets

Spooktacular Halloween Craft Kits and Prize Drawing!

Due to unexpected demand, Grab and Go kits are no longer available. Please accept our apologies for this inconvenience. For examples of craft kit contents to recreate using supplies from home, be sure to check out the Spook-tacular craft video!  You may still participate in the prize drawing though.  Prize drawing tickets can be picked up in Children’s at the Central Library or via Curbside at the Mariners, Balboa and CDM Branches.
