Tenth Annual Gift of Literacy

Section Index:
Content Body:

Guest Speaker: Lisa See

Newport/Mesa ProLiteracy invites you to celebrate the "Gift of Literacy" at this very special annual event. This year, our annual fundraising luncheon will feature international bestselling author Lisa See.

In her beloved New York Times bestsellers Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, Peony in Love, Shanghai Girls and Dreams of Joy, and, most recently, China Dolls, Lisa See has brilliantly illuminated the strong bonds between women, romantic love, and love of country.

Ms. See will be introducing her latest book, The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane, a moving story about tradition, tea farming, and the enduring connection between mothers and daughters.

The Literacy Program is very excited to have a return appearance by this acclaimed writer as guest speaker and hopes you will join the special event. There will be a silent auction, opportunity drawings, and Ms. See will be signing copies of her book.

We expect this event to be SOLD OUT. Be sure to get your tickets early.
